Roles and Responsibilities:

Consulting various test reports before the execution of the dialysis

Executing dialysis on patients as per doctor's prescription

To receive the patient & take consent for dialysis, check their weight & vital before executing dialysis

Monitoring of vitals during dialysis.

Monitoring & handling the complications raised during dialysis and safeguarding the patient against them.

To check post dialysis weight and vitals

To check proper working of all dialysis machine & other equipments

To check daily schedule of the patients & set up the machines & dialysis apparatus accordingly

After closing check proper homeostasis at all puncture sites

To maintain proper record of patients dialysis procedure, their investigations and viral reports

To ensure that all aseptic measures are taken during the dialysis procedures

To ensure proper segregation of waste materials according to protocol

Proper labeling, disinfection and storage of dialyzer set for next dialysis

To ensure proper disinfection of dialysis machine & maintain disinfection record

Timely indenting of consumables & drugs

Check availability of clean linen & CSSD items

To report any complication & untoward event to concerned doctor

Providing oversight and direction to the junior dialysis technicians and nursing staffs

Participating in continuous quality improvement activities.

Roles and responsibilities:

Receiving patients for Kidney Transplant

Basic Counseling and Education Regarding Kidney Transplant

Scrutinizing basic documentation and fitness for Kidney Transplant as per Indian Laws (Human Organ Transplant Act Of India 1994)

Arranging appointments with Dr. Ranjan(Lead Kidney Transplant Surgeon)

Financial and medical counseling regarding the costs involved in kidney transplantation and other medical tests

Coordinating with legal section and the transplant coordinator for making legal files

Starting/ coordinating and completing Workup for Kidney transplantation

Coordinating with various departments and labs for workup of the donor and the recipient before the Kidney Transplantation

Ensuring a cross-match checkup for Kidney Transplantation

Thoroughly checking all the investigations and reporting it to concerned clinicians.

Organizing Consultations and clearances from various associate doctors such as Gastroenterologist, Cardiologist, Physician, Pulmonologist and Neurologist

Getting a Psychiatric fitness and Clearance of the donor for Kidney donation

Video Recording of Consent for Kidney Donation

Coordinating with Dr Ranjan and the OT Coordinator for fixing up the date for Kidney Transplantation

Taking Post operative rounds with Dr Ranjan and carrying out basic clinical duties such as dressings, Drains and suture removal.

Ensuring proper post- operative care by coordinating with the physiotherapists and ward nurses.

Facilitating discharge of the donor and the recipient.
